For transmission of backup files to the Res-Q server, Res-Q uses the Windows dialup networking connection settings. To specify options available there, right-click on the dialup networking connection icon, choose properties, and then set the available options. These options are Windows settings and are documented in the Windows help system. Within Res-Q, you can choose which dialup networking connection to use by specifying it in the options tab. It is not necessary or recommended that you use the "save password" feature of your Windows dialup networking connection. Leave the password field blank and specify it instead in the Res-Q options tab. Res-Q will pass this information to Windows dialup networking at the appropriate time. This prevents unauthorized users from simply using your Windows dialup networking connection icon to dial and login to your account on the Res-Q server. Further control is available by enabling the "Advanced" options tab, which offers additional options for the dialup and for the FTP server. The advanced tab is normally hidden, unless you choose "view advanced" from the "options" pull-down menu. Do not change advanced settings unless you are sure you have the correct information.
