Res-Q works very well with cable modem or other direct connections to the Internet. To prepare Res-Q to use one of these connections instead of the standard Windows Dial-Up Networking, simply check the "Direct Connection" checkbox in Res-Q's "Options" tab. This will disable and gray out the Dial-Up Networking settings and cause Res-Q to seek a direct TCP/IP connection to the FTP server name or IP address specified in the "User Info" tab.
