Res-Q optionally stores copies of the most recent backup(s) on your own workstation's hard drive. This allows for quick and easy restores without the need to download files from the Res-Q server. This saves a lot of time by eliminating the relatively slow dialup and download procedures. And, since Res-Q stores its compressed backups in a format that is 100% compatible with industry standard PKzip, you can use that program or any compatible unzipping utility to extract files directly from a Res-Q backup. For restore procedures using Res-Q's own utility, please see the earlier FAQ, "How do I restore from a backup".
