Res-Q Automated Backup - FAQ's

How do I control Res-Q's use of disk space?

Res-Q optionally stores copies of the most recent backup(s) on your own workstation's hard drive.  This allows for quick and easy restores without the need to download files from the Res-Q server.  This saves a lot of time by eliminating the relatively slow dialup and download procedures.  The number and size of locally stored backup files is controlled through Res-Q's "options" tab.  In the section titled "Archive Options", there are several ways to determine the maximum locally stored backups.  You can choose how many backups, how much space they may occupy, or a percentage of overall disk space that may not be exceeded.  Res-Q defaults to 2 locally stored backups.  These would be the two most recent backups performed.
